1. The Map of Philosophy

In brilliant colors, the Map of Philosophy from YouTube Philosopher Carneades.org is a systematic breakdown of all the areas in philosophy. It has a video to go along with it that walks through each conceptual area step by step. Unlike other visualizations in this list it focuses on the areas of philosophy instead of the thinkers. You can even order posters, prints and more!

2. Network Graph of Philosophy

Back in 2012, the folks at Drunks and Lampposts created a network visualization using the links between various philosophers on Wikipedia. The size of the dots corresponds to the number of connections coming in and out of the different nodes and the colors correspond to the various traditions of philosophy. The site is no longer maintained, so many links to it are broken, but you can still view the old post and graph here.

3. Interactive Nodes of Philosophy

Following on a similar theme, but with a bit of a tech update, we have this visualization of the connections between various philosophers in the Western canon by Deniz Cem Önduygu. The graph is filterable so that you can pare it down to certain disciplines or time periods. The different color lines correspond to agreement or disagreement between the thinkers.

4. East and West Timeline

This visualization from Super Scholar follows the timeline of both eastern and western traditions of philosophy and religion. It does not hit as many philosophers as some of the other visualizations do, but it captures areas of political thought and religion as well, leading to a broader, if less deep timeline of thought.
